SALES AND TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE

(SUPPLIERS OF FLAVOURS & SWEETENERS TO THE FOOD & BEVERAGE INDUSTRY)

A vacancy is available for a fulltime Sales & Technical Representative at our Company based in Midrand. We are seeking a candidate to maintain our existing client base and to hunt for new business. Research formulations of products required by clients and to create the finished product for client consideration. Working with customers to ensure technical excellence in products developed.

The successful candidate must be self motivated, energetic and business minded with a natural flair for sales and must be target driven. Support laboratory operations by performing quality tests and procedures to provide accurate results.

Only candidates with the outlined expertise will be considered. The position is available immediately.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric Certificate
• BSc Food Science Degree / Hons
• Fluent in English & Afrikaans
• Minimum of 2 years sales experience
• At least 2 years experience in flavour industry (beverage, sweet, dairy)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Be a self disciplined individual
• Own reliable vehicle and drivers license is essential

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Service existing clients and seek new business
• present a range of flavour options available to client
• Develop products that meets with client specifications / research formulations of similar products
• Assist client with advise on technical matters / production run
• Target driven
• Submit weekly sales / visitor reports
• Be willing to travel local & international
• Knowledge of MS Office / Pastel / Salesforce
• Reporting to Management
